Social Sciences

The Social Sciences Faculty houses the following departments: Combined Studies, Critical Thinking, History, PSHCE, RE and Sociology.

History at The Ragis School allows students to explore subjects like the Titanic & The Gunpowder Plot and attend trips to places such as Hampton Court & Portsmouth Dockyard.

PSHCE aims to enable students to recognise and express their feelings and develop communication skills, assertiveness and confidence to enable them to make informed choices regarding their health and safety and to become good adults.

You will find out why people hold certain beliefs and why others might take a different view in Religious Education. 

Students will learn about human statistics and enable students to debate topics in a controlled environment.
