Pyramids
Mrs Janman is Head of Pyramids House
What a fantastic start to The Regis School…
I would like to extend a warm welcome to all and introduce myself as Head of Pyramids House. I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with students of all ages. The students have settled in well to the new school and I have visited tutorial and am delighted at how well the vertical tutoring system is working. In the first weeks the feedback from students has been super. I strongly believe that students should be recognised for their achievements and we are working closely with our House leaders on ways to rewards these successes and by everyone supporting and working together Pyramids House will be the best.
During the autumn term house leaders enjoyed a day of training at Butlins. This was a positive day with all leaders being trained to lead a mentoring session, they ended the day by writing cards with positive messages for everyone in their group, this was then repeated during mentoring which the house leaders lead.
On the last day of term we had a non uniform day to raise money for a charity to help children at Christmas, Pyramids chose ‘Winston Wishes’ which is a charity that supports young people who are bereaved. We have invited the charity to visit the Regis school during this term to receive the money raised and to share with Pyramids house the fantastic work they do to support children.
In total we raised £150 and would like to say thank you to everyone who participated and supported us. For more information on this charity please visit www.winstonwishes.co.uk.
