Autism Aware

The Regis School has also met standards laid down by West Sussex County Council on meeting the needs of students with an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). These standards include policy, practice and procedure requirements as well as: bullying issues, balanced curriculum, teaching the teachers about autism, sharing good practice, planning to meet needs, learning environment – differences in ability and learning style, reducing pupils’ anxiety, homework/exam dispensation as needed, social training, whole school of awareness of ASC students, working/communicating with parents and pupils’ voice.
