Dyslexia Friendly School

The Regis School is a dyslexia-friendly school and has achieved a quality mark from the British Dyslexia Association. Dyslexia-friendly schools are able to identify and respond to the unexpected difficulties a dyslexic learner may encounter. Teachers are able to identify and respond to a range of diverse learning needs in mainstream settings. At TRS teachers have an awareness of what each pupil should be able to achieve, together with a range of response strategies when targets are not met. All staff are productively led to demand excellence, have strategies to avoid failure and to investigate when targets are not met, and adopt flexible approaches.
